The Art of CBD

My CBD Journey

I started using CBD oil because I developed Traction Alopecia from wearing lace front wigs. Traction Alopecia can literally take a hold of your hairline and lead to your hair falling out in clumps. For those that are not familiar with Traction Alopecia it’s caused by anything that pulls on the hair, ultimately damaging the root and can lead to scarring and permanent hair loss.

As much as I loved my wigs, extensions and protective styles, I was wearing them almost every day which cause repeated stress to my scalp.

I decided to take a break from the wigs and really put some TLC into my hairline and overall growth of my hair. My doctor explained to me that the damage was caused by inflammation. That’s when I began my CBD journey

What are the benefits of CBD oil for hair?

1. Enhance hair growth. CBD contains nutrients that boost hair growth. CBD helps stimulate and enhance the growth of hair through the scalp’s absorption of the main fatty acids, Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9. It also contains GLA (gamma linoleic acid) which promotes natural hair growth.”

2. Strengthen and protect hair. Hair strands are made out of protein, which is why experts recommend a protein treatment for weak, broken hair. CBD oil contains all 21 amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. When used regularly, it can help strengthen and fortify your hair. Also, CBD is full of fatty acids that provide moisture and seal the cuticle. It’s rich in antioxidants, too, like vitamins A, C and E, so it helps to protect the hair from environmental damage.

3. Improve scalp health. “CBD contains high doses of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and vitamin E – all of which are great for the scalp. It’s also a natural anti-inflammatory, which makes it ideal for common scalp conditions like psoriasis. Moreover, it balances your scalp’s natural production of oil, whether you have too much or too little, CBD is an adaptogen, meaning it regulates oil production, so it is great for oily, dry or normal hair types. It also helps to address dry, flaky scalp as well as eczema and psoriasis.

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is one of 104 chemical compounds found in the marijuana plant. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive substance found in cannabis but unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

CBD Pain Relief Salve

Our soothing, relieving pain relief salve is made from all-natural ingredients. Our CBD pain relief salve is made from infusing high-quality cannabis flowers in quality oils which extracts the active compound CBD.

This oil is then blended with other therapeutic herbs that are well-known pain relievers. Extracts from eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint and lavender plants offer this salve a subtly herbaceous scent.

Once the targeted topical product is applied, an activated warmth is followed by a cooling sensation. If stronger effects are desired, more salve can be applied for additional relief.
